Fuji No Asahi is our brand new collab with the wonderful folks from Uchu Brewing from Hokuto in Japan. For this insane Smoothie Sour we've really stepped outside our comfort zone and learnt some amazing lessons from Masahiro at Uchu on the art of blending the perfect smoothie sour. Fruit is the key for this beer and we used LOTS of it. No, seriously, the most we've ever used. A nice tart smoothie sour base is then layered with mind boggling volumes of mango puree, passionfruit puree and guava puree at a 2:1:1 ratio respectively. We then added in a coconut cream finisher to provide extra body and balance to what is already an extremely indulgent beer. The result - well it kind of speaks for itself - pure smoothie glory. An intensely thick and indulgent beer, that bends the rules on what a beer can be. Luxurious levels on mango, blended with a light tartness to balance the overall sour/sweet ratio. Something that truly has to be tried to be enjoyed. As the morning sun rises over Mt Fuji, perhaps you will find yourself sipping on a can of Fuji No Asahi.
