When Juno offered her paramore Jupiter a bountiful dowry of oranges and orange blossom on the occasion of their wedding she believed that the great god would be hers alone forevermore. Jupiter however was a god of insatiable appetites. His many and varied indiscretions would have brought great shame to his faithful wife had he not taken steps to hide them. Thus, on his adulterous visits to the mortal realm he drew with him a veil of dark clouds to conceal his dalliance.

Jupiter’s Veil is a Dark Rye Famhouse ale. Three varieties of malted Rye provide a nutty and earthy base with notes of dark chocolate and layers of subtle spice. Kilos of hand peeled Orange Zest were then added to the kettle to provide an oily citrus undertone which is supported by a generous dry hop addition of Centennial and Mandarina Bavaria. This is tied together with a Belgian yeast strain deepening the spicy rye character and adding layers of complexity.
